08/21/10 -- Mason High School Announces 2010 Athletic Hall of Fame Induction ClassThe Mason High School Athletic Hall of Fame is proud to announce its 2010 induction class. The 29th induction class includes: Rob Middleton and Dick Martin from the class of 1985, Bob Bare from the class of 1986, Mike Jeffers and Jerry Bentley from the class of 1987, and Erin Hutchins-Whedon of the 1991 graduating class.

07/15/10 -- Mason Athletics to Offer 2010-2011 Athletic PassesThe Mason High School Athletic Department will once again be offering athletic passes for the 2010-2011 academic school year. Athletic passes go on sale on Monday, August 2, 2010 in the Mason High School Athletic Office. The Mason High School Athletic Office is open from 8:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday.

Mason has a new head softball coach. Liann Muff has been announced as the Comet Softball programs new leader pending school board approval. Muff has served as Mason's varsity assistant coach for the past 8 years, beginning her career in 2003, the same year that former head coach Brian Castner was hired. 06/07/10 -- Bergesen Wins State Pole Vault Title
Olivia Bergesen won a state title in the women's pole vault at the 2010 OHSAA Track and Field Championships in Columbus, Ohio this weekend. The Mason High School junior vaulted a personal best of 12 feet on her 2nd try, becoming the school's first state title holder in the pole vault event. 06/07/10 -- Boys Track Well Represented at State
Although no Mason athlete graced the top of the podium at the 2010 Boys State Track and Field Championships in Columbus this past weekend, the stadium had a slightly green tint. With 105 Division 1 schools and 327 athletes competing at the two-day event, Mason had the largest contingent of athletes participating (12).

06/01/10 -- Boys Track Team Wins Regional Title The Mason boys track team won their programs first-ever Regional Championship on Friday night at Dayton's Welcome Stadium. It was a tremendous meet and accomplishment for the Comets after two days of competition, 17 events and hundreds of athletes participating. The Mason Baseball teams magical run through the post season came to an end on Friday, May 28th with a loss to Moeller in the Regional Finals by a score of 11-1 at the University of Cincinnati. 06/01/10 -- Boys Lacrosse Earns State Final Four Berth
The Mason boy's lacrosse team won their first Regional Title on Saturday, May 29th defeating the St. X Bombers for the second time this season by a score of 13-9. The victory sends them to the State Final Four for the first time in the programs history. The Comets will face the #1 ranked team in Ohio, Upper Arlington, on Wednesday June 2 at 7:30 pm at Upper Arlington High School.

The postseason run of the Mason baseball team continued Thursday evening as the Comet's soundly defeated LaSalle in the Regional Semifinals at Marge Schott Field on the campus of the University of Cincinnati. The District titles just keep rolling in for the Mason Athletic programs. The Comet baseball team made it four district titles (baseball, softball, girls and boys track) in 4 days with their extra inning 1-0 defeat of Wayne on Monday at Fairmont.
