Interested in being a part of the Comet Zone? We are looking students interested in having a hands-on experience in the business world, to work in the store for the 10-11 school year! The Comet Zone is great preparation for someone that is interested in having a future in business. It will further your skills in the area of business you are most interested in. Depending on your expertise, you will be placed in one of the following departments: Marketing, Finance, Operations, Merchandising, or Special Orders. If you aren’t sure which department you’ll perform best in, that’s okay! Students can take part in all areas of the Comet Zone.
To apply to the Comet Zone, you must be a junior or a senior who has taken Entrepreneurs in Action. If you have taken different business classes, please visit Mrs. Gentene in room C210 to see if you still need to take Entrepreneurs in Action.
Entrepreneurs in Action is a class where students develop their own (or partnered) business idea and create a business plan. Students can take this as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
To apply to the Comet Zone, you are required to fill the out an application and go through an interviewing process led by the current Comet Zone employees. Interviewing will take place the second week of January. More information will be available closer to that date.
