Every year the Seniors of the class leave the Juniors to make the store better than the year before. The Comet Zone is always looking for up and coming business men and women to fulfill many different positions in the Comet Zone. Our departments include Merchandising and Special Orders, Online Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, and Finances.
We have selected employees whose skills range from developing computer art leadership. Employees are assigned specific projects that utilize their skills and teach them new skills.
The Comet Zone is a great preparatory tool for both the working world and college.
To apply to the Comet Zone, you must be a junior or a senior who has taken Entrepreneurs in Action. If you have taken different business classes, please visit Mrs. Gentene in room C210 to see if you still need to take Entrepreneurs in Action.
Entrepreneurs in Action is a class where students develop their own (or partnered) business idea and create a business plan. In 2006, the class did the Gold Star project in which the groups did market research and eventually presented a product idea to Gold Star Chili. Gold Star Chili sold the product for a limited time. The Entreprenuers in Action class is for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
Finally, you must apply like your would a real job and be interviewed by Comet Zone managers. If you are accepted, a notice will go out and you can schedule the class for the next school year. Make sure you apply before you schedule yourself for the class or you will be removed from the class list.

Applications for those that are interested and qualified will go out in early January, and interviews will commence in late January or early February. You can pick up an application in Mrs. Gentene's room, or simply download the application.
